The Morimens realms are Chaos, Aequor, Caro and Ultra. Every Awakener belongs to one realm, and the realms in your lineup decide the team's shared combat mechanics: Posses for Chaos, Tentacles and stances for Aequor, Embryos and the Crimson Furnace for Caro, and Ultra Space for Ultra. Each realm also has a second-generation version (Primordia: Chaos, Benthos: Aequor, Propagation: Caro and Singularity: Ultra) that switches on when certain newer Awakeners are in the team.
This guide uses official Steam patch notes and Awakener introductions up to V2.6.2 (October 17, 2026), plus the developer log published that day. Changes the log only planned are marked as planned, and values in introduction graphics may change after testing.
01
The four realms at a glance
| Realm | Classic mechanics | Second-generation version | Switched on by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chaos | Posses | Primordia: Chaos | Lotan: Cetarchon, Ogier: Oathbound, Vivian |
| Aequor | Tentacles; Surging Tides, Tranquil Sea and Raging Waves stances | Benthos: Aequor | Murphy: Fauxborn, Pontos, Vortice |
| Caro | Embryo Fusion, Embryos, Devour, Crimson Furnace | Propagation: Caro | Saya, Caraboo |
| Ultra | Ultra Space, Dimension Shuttle, Ultra Turns, Annihilation | Singularity: Ultra | Arachne |
Each of those introductions says that while the Awakener is in the team, the realm turns into its second-generation version.
02
Chaos and Primordia: Chaos
Classic Chaos is built around Posses, the equipped team skill you unleash in battle, and the developer log says it gives more reliable access to your equipped Posse than Primordia: Chaos.
Primordia: Chaos comes from the Primordial Breath talent. Its Primordial Echo offers two Memory Shard options, Primordia: Dual Recurrence and Primordia: Triad Revelation, which work by Discovering Posses and add randomness. Each point of Primordia: Chaos Mastery raises Posse Potency by 0.05%, which boosts fixed Poison, Counter, STR, Shield and several other effects (V2.5.3 Lotan: Cetarchon post).
Chaos Awakeners in official notes: "24", Kathigu-Ra, Mouchette, Lotan: Cetarchon, Lily, Ogier: Oathbound, Ryker, Hameln, Tawil, Doll: Inferno, Vivian, Ramona, Ramona: Timeworn, Ogier, Doll, Lotan, Nymphaea, Alva, Pandia, Nautila and Karen.
Planned (October 17, 2026): a Primordia·K0617 option that unleashes your equipped Posse without spending Keyflare, using Realm Charge, and a stronger Archive Mark for unlocking more Posses.
03
Aequor and Benthos: Aequor
Aequor fights with Tentacles and three Tentacle stances: Surging Tides, Tranquil Sea and Raging Waves (V2.5.2 notes). Tranquil Sea is the Shield stance and Raging Waves the Tentacle damage stance, and the developer describes Aequor as a realm that grows stronger during a battle.
Benthos: Aequor first appeared as "Divine Realm: Aequor" in Murphy: Fauxborn's V2.4.0 introduction. V2.5.2 renamed it without changing its effect and gave Murphy: Fauxborn and Vortice the talent name Lightless Bottom, which Pontos also uses. In Benthos, Tranquil Sea and Raging Waves are stances you activate, each on a three-turn cooldown.
Aequor Awakeners in official notes: Tulu, Vortice, Murphy, Corposant, Pontos, Miryam, Murphy: Fauxborn, Aurita, Sanga, Celeste, Faros, Caecus and Goliath.
Planned: Pure classic Aequor gets +1 Tentacle Limit at battle start. For the rest of the battle, each stance switch adds 25% Final DMG to Tentacle Dominion and Tentacle Assembly in classic Aequor, or 25% team DMG Amplification in Benthos.
04
Caro and Propagation: Caro
Classic Caro builds Embryo Fusion every turn, and at 100 the realm puts an Embryo in your hand (V2.5.1 notes). Caro Awakeners' Devour effects consume Embryos, and the Crimson Furnace stores HP that you can use to heal (V2.0 notes).
Propagation: Caro comes from Saya (V2.5.1) and Caraboo (V2.6.0). It uses Propagule Embryos instead. The first time each Awakener consumes one in a turn, they gain stacks that strengthen their next Exalt by 1% each (Propagation Frenzy in Saya's introduction, Propagation Fiesta in the developer log). The Crimson Furnace becomes an active ability with a three-turn cooldown, and unused Propagule Embryos are destroyed when a battle ends.
Caro Awakeners in official notes: Sorel, Helot: Catena, Doresain, Salvador, Caraboo, Thais, Pickman, Xu, Saya, Aigis, Leigh, Faint, Helot, Agrippa and Uvhash.
Planned: Propagule Embryos carry over between battles, the Crimson Furnace boosts your next Exalt, and the stacks become Crimson Frenzy. Classic Caro gains them too when you directly use an Embryo or Scion of Purity, with extra effects for Aigis, Faint, Helot: Catena, Pickman and Thais.
05
Ultra and Singularity: Ultra
In classic Ultra, Dimension Shuttle sends a temporary copy of the first Command Card you play each round into Ultra Space. It can't trigger during Ultra Rounds (V2.5.0 notes). When Ultra Space fills, you get an extra Ultra Turn that hands you the stored cards (V2.0 notes). The developer log says classic Ultra in mixed-realm teams currently loses 25% of damage, Shield, healing and several other effects during Ultra Turns, and Pure Ultra removes that penalty.
Singularity: Ultra comes from Arachne (V2.5.0). Cards sent into Ultra Space gain Singularity Beacon stacks that boost their effects. You get Singularity Prism stacks at the start of a stage, and per Arachne's introduction, Annihilation draws the leftmost card from Ultra Space on a three-turn cooldown.
Ultra Awakeners in official notes: Daffodil, Pollux, Wanda, Castor, Horla, Clementine, Arachne, Erica, Casiah, Jenkin, Liz, Tinct and Winkle.
Planned: classic Ultra loses its mixed-team penalty. Pure Ultra instead lets the first 2 Command Cards played in the first turn of a battle both trigger Dimension Shuttle. Cards drawn by Singularity: Ultra's Annihilation will cost 0 Arithmetica.
06
Mono-realm vs mixed teams
- Since V2.0 (January 2025), a lineup can hold any two different realms, and a realm's mechanics apply as long as one of its Awakeners is in the team. Two is the limit: V2.4.2 fixed a bug that let a third appear. Before V2.0, Aequor, Caro and Ultra Awakeners could only team with their own realm or Chaos.
- Pure teams, where every Awakener is from one realm, currently get a doubled Realm Mastery effect. Several second-generation talents also double a bonus when the team is only that realm, or that realm plus Chaos (Murphy: Fauxborn, Saya and Lotan: Cetarchon introductions).
- The developer log says pure-team players found mixing almost mandatory, so it plans an extra 250 Realm Mastery for pure second-generation teams, on top of the existing doubling.
| Planned pure-team bonus | Effect |
|---|---|
| Primordia: Chaos | +25% Posse Strength |
| Benthos: Aequor | Tranquil Sea Stance adds Shield equal to 12.5% of Max HP; Raging Waves Stance adds +12.5% Tentacle DMG |
| Propagation: Caro | +5 Crimson Frenzy per turn for all Awakeners, +10 the first time each consumes a Propagule Embryo each turn |
| Singularity: Ultra | +3.75 Prism stacks at stage start, +6.25 Beacon stacks on cards entering Ultra Space (rounded up) |
07
Realm Mastery, Realm Legacy and Realm Charge
- Realm Mastery scales realm effects. It comes from Awakeners, Wheels of Destiny and Covenants, and second-generation talents turn it into their own mastery, such as Primordia: Chaos Mastery. See the Realm Mastery guide.
- Realm Legacy appears in the Lineup screen. The Chaos Realm Legacy, Omniscent Relics, Discovers a Relic at the start of exploration (V2.6.2 notes).
- Realm Charge (planned) replaces three-turn cooldowns for the Crimson Furnace, the Benthos stances, Annihilation and Primordia·K0617. You start each battle with 3 charges and gain 1 at the end of each turn, up to 5. Each use costs 3.

FAQ
Can you mix realms in Morimens?
Yes. Since V2.0, a lineup can combine any two realms, but not three. Pure teams currently get a doubled Realm Mastery effect, and a bigger pure-team bonus was planned on October 17, 2026.
What is Ultra Space in Morimens?
Ultra Space is a zone where Ultra stores copies of cards through Dimension Shuttle. When it fills, it gives you an Ultra Turn with those cards. In Singularity: Ultra, cards there gain Singularity Beacon bonuses.
Who are the Caro characters in Morimens?
Official notes name 15 Caro Awakeners, listed in the Caro section above, including Thais, Pickman, Xu and Doresain. Saya and Caraboo switch Caro to Propagation: Caro. Classes are on the characters page.
What is the best Aequor team in Morimens?
This guide doesn't rank teams. Aequor Awakeners with official classes are Tulu and Vortice (Assault), Murphy, Corposant and Pontos (Warden), and Miryam and Murphy: Fauxborn (Chorus). For team ideas, see the teams page.
