This Morimens tier list ranks the strongest Awakeners for PvE as of V2.6.2 (October 2026). Our top picks are Helot: Catena, Thais, Tawil, Murphy: Fauxborn, Pollux and Saya. Realm-changing Awakeners such as Arachne, Pontos, Lotan: Cetarchon and Vivian follow close behind, because they reshape whole teams.
The list is editorial judgement built from official Steam patch notes and Awakener introductions up to the V2.6.2.0 update (maintenance on October 19, 2026). It covers Investigation, boss fights and the D-Effect Zone, not the Traphase PvP mode, which has its own kits and balance changes. Numbers quoted from launch infographics are internal test-server values at level 60 and can differ in game.
01
How we rank Awakeners
We score each Awakener on four things, in this order:
- PvE value. Damage, defense or support in Investigation stages, boss battles and the D-Effect Zone.
- Realm synergy. Whether the Awakener enables or strengthens a realm mechanic for the whole team.
- Availability. Since V2.4.0 (November 2025), every SSR limited Awakener from the Faded Legacy era is in the standard Realms Research banner. Newer limited Awakeners return only through reruns.
- Recent official changes. The V2.5.1 update (May 2026) buffed dozens of kits, and later notes added new realm versions.
We rank every Awakener at Psyche Surge 0, without Over-Exaltation (unlocked at Psyche Surge 4) or Absolute Axiom (Psyche Surge 12). The developers said in September 2026 that core D-Effect Zone rewards are designed to be reachable without either.

Morimens tier list as of V2.6.2
"Standard" means the Awakener is in the Realms Research banner. "Limited" means the Awakener is only available from event banners and reruns.
S tier
| Awakener | Realm | Class | Availability | Why |

| Helot: Catena | Caro | Assault | Standard | V2.5.1 raised Crimson Shackles base damage by 60% and Hatred Unleashed by 33%; the Exalt Sanguine Fetters adds Bleed |
| Thais | Caro | Chorus | Standard | The Exalt Ritual of Abundance copies Command Cards; V2.5.1 gave it +50% base damage |
| Tawil | Chaos | Chorus | Standard | The Exalt makes Tawil's next card take effect one more time, and playing allies' cards boosts that ally's Final DMG, Shield and Healing by 15–25% |

| Saya | Caro | Chorus | Limited (collab) | Turns Caro into Propagation: Caro with +50% team DMG Amplification, doubled in Caro and Chaos teams |
A tier
| Awakener | Realm | Class | Availability | Why |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Arachne | Ultra | Chorus | Limited | Enables Singularity: Ultra (+50% DMG Amplification, doubled with only Ultra or Chaos allies); Final Verdict kills a target once its stacks reach the target's HP |
| Pontos | Aequor | Warden | Limited | The Exalt lowers all enemies' STR and deals Fixed DMG to the lowest-HP enemy; enables Benthos: Aequor |
| Lotan: Cetarchon | Chaos | Assault | Limited | Enables Primordia: Chaos; the Exalt deals a guaranteed critical hit with a 1,500% STR bonus |
| Vivian | Chaos | Chorus | Limited, banner until November 16 | The Exalt heals and grants STR; her skills give an ally 30 Aliemus and team potions for draws, Arithmetica or Aliemus |
| Clementine | Ultra | Chorus | Limited | Rated near the top by most community lists; Clementine's Absolute Axiom adds a damage instance |
| Horla | Ultra | Chorus | Standard | V2.5.1 raised the STR from Dirge Psalm by 33% |

B tier
| Awakener | Realm | Class | Availability | Why |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Caraboo | Caro | Warden | Limited | Also enables Propagation: Caro; the Exalt shields and hits all enemies three times |
| Ogier: Oathbound | Chaos | Warden | Limited | The Exalt grants Shield and STR; brings Primordia: Chaos, so it suits only all-Chaos teams |
| 24 | Chaos | Assault | Standard | V2.5.1 gave the Exalt a different bonus in each realm, so 24 fits almost any team |
| Castor | Ultra | Warden | Limited | Gives other Awakeners a fixed 35% Crit. DMG and spreads Corrosion with Onyx Plume |
| Tulu | Aequor | Assault | Standard | With one to three other Lemurians, enemies take 10/25/50% more Tentacle DMG |
| Doll: Inferno | Chaos | Chorus | Limited | V2.5.1 increased the Exalt's Poison by 100% |
| Lily | Chaos | Warden | Standard | The Strike to Protect damage bonus is doubled in boss battles |
| Corposant | Aequor | Warden | Limited | V2.5.1 raised the Shield from the Gnosis Rouse by 66% |
Ramona is left out because the official text we read confirms her realm (Chaos) but not her class.
03
Why realm enablers rank so high
Several recent Awakeners change your realm into a second-generation version when they join the team. Saya and Caraboo create Propagation: Caro. Arachne creates Singularity: Ultra. Murphy: Fauxborn, Pontos and Vortice share the talent name "Lightless Bottom", which creates Benthos: Aequor. Lotan: Cetarchon, Vivian and Ogier: Oathbound create Primordia: Chaos.
Each of these talents, per the official kit text, grants +50% team DMG Amplification and doubles it for a pure team. Chaos Awakeners count toward the pure bonus for the Caro, Ultra and Aequor versions. Primordia: Chaos is the exception. Its "Indivisible Realm" rule turns off other realms' pure-realm and doubling effects, so Lotan: Cetarchon, Vivian and Ogier: Oathbound belong in all-Chaos teams. Our team comps page builds cores around these rules.
04
Standard vs limited picks
Helot: Catena, Thais, Tawil, Horla, Miryam, 24, Tulu and Lily are all Faded Legacy Awakeners. That makes them good targets for a reroll or for spending on the standard banner. One catch from V2.5.1 is Gnostic Potential. Permanent Awakeners need 20 to 100 Pure Core per step, up to five steps, to raise CON, ATK and DEF, while limited Awakeners start fully upgraded. Check the banners page for reruns. Pickman returns from November 2 to 30 alongside Tulu and Lily.
05
Where community opinion differs
We checked public community tier lists dated May to October 2026. Most agree with us on Helot: Catena, Thais, Tawil, Pollux and Murphy: Fauxborn. Several also place Clementine, Horla, Ramona, Kathigu-Ra, Daffodil and 24 in their top tier. Most of those lists do not rank Awakeners released from V2.5.0 onward yet, so our placements for Arachne, Saya, Pontos, Lotan: Cetarchon, Caraboo, Ogier: Oathbound and Vivian rest on kit text alone. Expect them to move as players clear the latest content. For live discussion, try r/Morimens.
06
How to use this tier list
- Pick a realm first. Fill the team from that realm's highest entries. Realm-pure teams get a doubled Realm Mastery effect, a rule dating from V2.0.0.0 that the developers restated on October 17, 2026. See our Realm Mastery guide.
- Treat tiers as pull priority. A built B-tier Warden beats an unbuilt S-tier pick.
- Use the in-game advice. Since V2.6.2, the Handbook's Growth Guide has a Training Overview with official Lineup Recommendations for each Awakener.
- Don't chase Psyche Surge early. Our tiers assume Psyche Surge 0.
07
What could change soon
A developer log posted on October 17, 2026 lists planned changes that "may still be adjusted". It plans to give classic Caro the Crimson Frenzy bonus, with extra effects for Helot: Catena, Thais and Pickman. It also plans buffs for Helot, removal of classic Ultra's 25% mixed-realm penalty during Ultra Turns, and +250 Realm Mastery for pure second-generation teams. None of these changes is in V2.6.2. We will re-rank when they ship.
