Morimens over exalt refers to Over-Exaltation, the official English name for an upgraded version of an Awakener's Exalt. Exalt is each Awakener's signature move, powered by their Aliemus gauge. Over-Exaltation is unlocked by raising that Awakener's Enlighten level and has its own name and stronger effect. The exact phrase "Over Exalt" does not appear in official English notes as of V2.6.2; the notes always say "Over-Exaltation", while players shorten it to "over exalt" or "overexalt".

This page is based on every Exalt mention in 107 official Morimens posts on Steam, from August 2024 up to the V2.6.2.0 update (October 19, 2026), checked on October 20, 2026. The notes never state Over-Exaltation's Aliemus cost or the exact Enlighten level that unlocks it, so those details are marked as unconfirmed below.

01

What Exalt is

Exalts are named per Awakener, such as Ogier's "Seven Arts and Virtues" or Lily's "Undying Flower Upon Slime". Notes call it "Exalt" or "Aliemus Exalt", and some older notes translate it as "Aliemus Burst": Thais's "Ritual of Abundance" is an "Aliemus Burst" in the V2.5.1.0 notes and "the Exalt" in the October 2026 developer log.

What official notes confirm about how it works:

  • Aliemus fuels it. Each Awakener has an Aliemus maximum (V2.5.3.0 notes mention the "Aliemus Limit"), filled by cards, talents and Posses. The V2.6.2 Posse "Evil from the Dark Night", for example, lets you choose 1 Awakener to gain 20 Aliemus.
  • Cost. In Traphase, the PvP mode, new Exalts are listed as "Consume 100 Aliemus", such as Pontos's "Relentless Hunt" and Saya's "Song of Saya". For other modes the notes mention an Awakener's "Aliemus Cost" (an Astral Reign relic cuts Uvhash's by 5 each time he unleashes Exalt) but give no standard number.
  • It can be blocked. Some enemy intents seal Exalt, a wording fixed in V2.6.2.0, and Traphase has an "Exalt Lock" state.
  • Auto-battle. Since V2.6.1.0 (September 2026), auto-battle uses Exalt "more reasonably".

02

What Over-Exaltation is

Official notes confirm five points:

  1. Enlighten unlocks it. The V2.4.0.0 notes (November 2025) fixed an inaccurate prompt shown when "increasing the Enlighten Level to unlock Over-Exaltation".
  2. You confirm it in battle. V2.4.2.0 (January 2026) fixed the confirm button on the "Over-Exaltation confirmation interface" on PC.
  3. It is a stronger form of the same Exalt. V2.6.1.0 fixed Ogier's Over-Exaltation Shield coming out lower than "200% of Normal Exalt", and Doresain's Over-Exaltation gained "Base DMG of this Exalt" +50% in V2.5.1.0.
  4. It has its own name, description and voice lines. Fixes in V2.4.2.0, V2.5.0.0 and V2.6.1.0 cover the displayed Over-Exaltation name, Exalt and Over-Exaltation voice lines, and Wanda's Exalt wrongly showing Over-Exaltation text.
  5. Content is not balanced around it. A September 4, 2026 developer post on the D-Effect Zone says core rewards are achievable without Over-Exaltation, Absolute Axiom or Emergency Gnosis, and that these extra layers are not the baseline for stage balance.

Named Over-Exaltations in official notes

"After Exalt" effects

Many kits and items trigger when an Exalt is unleashed. Main-mode examples from official notes:

Traphase has its own After Exalt Wheels of Destiny, including "Eternal Weave" (next Skill takes effect 2 times), "Private Afternoon" (next attack's DMG doubled) and "To the Stars" (12 Shield after any Awakener's Exalt). For main-mode Wheels, see our Wheels of Destiny page.

05

Planned Exalt changes (not live in V2.6.2)

The October 17, 2026 post "Light's 30-Day Challenge Log: Days 1–8" lists plans that may still change after testing:

  • "Propagation Fiesta" will be renamed "Crimson Frenzy" with the same effect. Classic Caro would gain it too: directly using an Embryo or Scion of Purity grants 10 stacks.
  • After using Crimson Furnace, the next Exalt that turn would get the frenzy bonus whether or not it consumes a Propagule Embryo.
  • Some Caro Exalts would scale further with frenzy stacks: Aigis's "Eye of Eternity", Faint's "Cradle of Stars", Helot: Catena's "Sanguine Fetters", Pickman's "Truth in Delusion" and Thais's "Ritual of Abundance".
  • Two Helot bugs, where Exalt final damage bonuses wrongly boosted her Devour Basic Strike bonus and her talent bonus, would be fixed, and her Exalt "Surviving Impasse" Devour bonus would rise from 10% to 15%.

These interact with Realm Mastery for pure Propagation: Caro teams; see our Realm Mastery guide.

06

What is not confirmed

  • Aliemus cost of Over-Exaltation. Community guides describe it as needing twice the Aliemus of a normal Exalt. We did not find this in official English notes as of V2.6.2.
  • Exact unlock threshold. Official notes only tie the unlock to Enlighten level. Community wikis and forum posts cite specific levels and copy counts, but they do not all agree, so check the Enlighten screen in-game.
  • Which Awakeners have one. No complete official list exists; the table above only covers names the notes mention.

FAQ

What does Over Exalt mean in Morimens?

It is player shorthand for Over-Exaltation, an upgraded, separately named version of an Awakener's Exalt that you unlock through Enlighten and confirm before using in battle.

How do you unlock Over Exalt in Morimens?

By raising the Awakener's Enlighten level, according to the V2.4.0.0 notes. The notes do not say which level, so check that Awakener's Enlighten screen.

What is Exalt in Morimens?

Each Awakener's named special move, powered by their Aliemus gauge. New Traphase Exalts in the notes are listed at 100 Aliemus; main-mode costs are not stated.

Do I need Over-Exaltation to clear hard content?

The developers say D-Effect Zone core rewards are achievable without it, and that stages are not balanced around it as of September 2026.
